Frequently Asked Questions
What is Tracking Parameter and Tracking URL?
- Tracking Parameter:
At LinkMyDeals, the tracking parameter is in the form of "tracking_parameter={{domain_name_id}}".
Some examples of tracking parameter are:
- pub_id={{domain_name_id}}
- cid={{domain_name_id}}
- a={{domain_name_id}}
In the publisher’s affiliate link, we will replace {{domain_name_id}} with the publisher's actual affiliate ID that he has inserted in our dashboard.
For example: - store domain is https://yourstore.com.
So the final affiliate link would look like this: https://www.yourstore.com/?pub_id={{yourstore.com_id}}
If you allow additional Sub ID parameters within your tracking link then you can add upto 5 Sub-ID to the URL, in the following manner.
Some examples are:
- sub_id={{s1}}
- p1={{s1}}
- aff_sub={{s1}}
- UniqueId={{s1}}
In the publisher’s affiliate link, these Sub ID will allow you to capture additional information.
Example, https://www.example.com/?tracking_parameter={{domain_name_id}}&sub_id1={{s1}}&sub_id2={{s2}}&sub_id3={{s3}}&sub_id4={{s4}}&&sub_id5={{s5}}
Note: Only one variable parameter is allowed.
